We created a sleek, modern, nordic design inspired environment for Hedda Gabbler. The set evokes a trophy case where Hedda has been trapped and put on display. The environment is a striking pedestal for Hedda's struggle as well as something for her to fight agains and, ultimately, break free of. In the final moment of the production the set revolved to show Hedda, outside the house, finally free.

For this show we created an impressive space flanked by two massive brick-treated towers with fire escapes that created wonderful elevated playing spaces. The band deck hung suspended 11'0" off the deck and spanned the entire playing space. Inspired by the elevated sections of the NYC subway, the band deck provided ample space for our large band and gave the rest of the stage an underworld atmosphere. We put the florist shop on a revolve so we could us both the interior and exterior of the shop set.
